Saw the lady who owns this restaurant beating up her family on the sidewalk yesterday. The women she was trying to hurt looked young. Not a good look!

Great brunch place

Good food, good service patio allows great people watching ...I mean, it's Venice/MDR!

Super Frühstück, tolle Location, top Service

We stayed 3 nights in Venice Beach and had 2 breakfasts in this wonderful place! The food was amazing but the service was above it! I'd really recommend this place and feel sorry that we didn't have our dinners in there.

My fiancé and I were seated, we are black. Two older ladies were seated after us but were acknowledged and placed their order before ours. The servers and bartender walked passed us several times without acknowledging us. After sitting for a while with our heads up and menus down without so much as a head nod. We walked out and went to the bar next door. Ironically, the bartender from Mercedes Grill walked in, saw us. It appeared he didn’t care we left feeling disappointed. We will never go back! Perhaps we were never welcome to begin with!

I liked this place for years as a bar, but I finally ate here recently and enjoyed the Cuban fish n’ chips - which were very good regular fish n’ chips - not sure what was Cuban about them. Regardless, really good. People with me ordered different stuff, everyone seemed to be pretty happy with their orders. I always kinda liked this place for cocktails, as a break from the way busier elbow-to-elbow of places around it, the bartenders have the time make a cocktail (usually). So, in sum - cocktails and fish n’ chips, enjoy!
