One of the best BYOB spots in the Gayborhood!

Quaint but cramped little Italian place that we love. Byob! The service was fantastic- kind knowledgeable servers. Very fresh ingredients. The dishes let the ingredients shine!

Great food last night in a cozy atmosphere.

Food was delicious, service was excellent and atmosphere was good too. It is a small building so the tables were close together but we went early so it wasn't super busy until we were leaving. We went during restaurant week and the menu choices were great! It is BYOB and we enjoyed our dinner there!

I've been going here for close to 20 years. Perhaps my tastes have evolved, or perhaps there is more and more amazing Italian food in philly. The food is good, and I love the place. But it's got small issues like the balance of whipped ricotta to honey to spice, along with the bread. Or the pasta a touch overdone. But I'd happily come here again, knowing I'd enjoy a hearty well made meal with super friendly staff in a quaint but not too small space.

Atmosphere: okay. Small, cramped, and loud, but an air of good food. Service: host guy was very nice but our waitress seemed generally disinterested. Food: had the meatballs app - mediocre taste and the sauce tasted like a step over tomato juice. Friends had the short ribs and chicken parm which was decent. I, unfortunately, had the lasagna. The noodles on top were burnt and rubbery. I could barely cut it, even with a knife. And inside, there was an absolutely uncalled for amount of spinach. Like, the size of a baseball. It was pretty disgusting, even if you like spinach. I even told the waitress and she’s like “I know, I warn people about it.” Cool cool cool. Why didn’t you warn me? The tiramisu was probably the redeeming quality of the evening, except it was a ridiculous $12 per slice for a 4x4 inch square.

I just adore this place. We came here in January of 2023 and were back last night, and not ever disappointed. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful, and all of the staff take such great care of their guests & pay exquisite attention to detail. So worth it!

Best short ribs!

My sister and I had my parents' surprise 40th anniversary party at Mercato and it was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is intimate yet spacious and the food was ridiculously delicious. Stephanie was very helpful with all the preparation leading up to the event, while Dan and all the day of staff went above and beyond to make sure the party was so special. Everything ran smoothly and they even accommodated extra needs for our surprise guest performer. A million thank yous to everyone at Mercato! I highly recommend having your special event there and/or a lovely meal!
