Food is great! Not your typical greasy Tex/mex place but I think it’s great quality and worth the price. Little bit loud, even on a weeknight.
I hardly ever post any reviews, it's not my thing, however this experience fell short of what I am accustomed too over the last 10+ years at Mercado. I came in for Valentines Day, server was off point. Usually I enjoy taking my time in ordering slowly however I felt like we were mostly ignored and left waiting for our server to come around. my wife and I ordered watermelon margaritas that tasted like fruit pellegrinos. Carne a la tampiquena was ok. Tacos that my wife ordered were great as usual. I ordered flaca margaritas, but tasted like regular margaritas. So for my second round of a flaca margarita I asked easy on the lime and sugar. The margarita was topped with Club soda so I sent it back, usually drinks here are great, but was not the case tonight. To finish our dinner I asked for an order of lobster tacos and a coca cola, neither arrived so I asked for the check. I gave 30 on a 220 check, which I haven't done in like 15 years. I still feel bad about it but service was really off. While am here, shout out to Chef José on the kids menú. We have gone from quatrrly customer to bi-weekly/monthly customer. Also bring back menús, qr codes are ghetto.
Guacamole and chips are perfect start with You can easily tell that they have worked on each menu items very carefully. Presentation, taste and the service are great. It is a simple menu but professional. Parking: I can find plenty paid parking garages around and they’re not expensive.
Solid choice! Great food, efficient and fast service
Got the fish special, lobster tacos, mushroom cheese dip and Guacamole of course. Everything was amazing. Ended up making nachos with the appetizers. We devoured everything. Service was great! I have anxiety for no good reason so when they sat me by the fire place, I asked to sit by the window. They made it happen no problem. Had to wait but I was grateful
Food and drinks are overpriced, probably because of the location next to the Grove. I'm glad I stopped in for happy hour – there's a pretty minimal selection, but prices were decent. Definitely wouldn't come for a regular dinner night out.
The food!? Spectacular! The service? Curt. The atmosphere *chefs kiss*. Okay, so the food and drinks were so good. I literally devoured my meal in like 10mins. Got the mole enchiladas. It was perfect because it wasn’t too chocolate but still added depth to the flavor profile. The service was quick but our waitress was kinda curt, no real niceties at all and you can tell she just wasn’t feeling it. Which I think takes away from the experience a bit. Atmosphere, I mean it’s right across from The Grove and has the typical dim lights, date and packed but not too packed vibe. I love that they had a bunch of booths which made it very comfortable.
