Bad service, had empty tables but would not seat us. Ramen tastes mid, had better in New York.

We waited for 40 minutes and unfortunately, the ramen lacked flavor. My friends agreed that their dishes were bland as well. However, the service was good.

Superb as always!. This is my second visit to Menya location and it was once again an amazing authentic Japanese food experience. Make sure to get there a bit early to reserve a spot as it may be a bit of a wait. But trust...it is worth it! The broth the use for their ramen dishes is savory, clean tasting and doesn't leave a weird taste in the mouth. The staff was wonderful and ready to help if you have any questions. Service is also prompt as well!

Good ramen! I ordered fried chicken and tonkotsu ramen with extra chashu pork. The ramen broth was very flavorful but on a salty side. Chashu pork was very tender. The fried chicken is definitely nothing to write home about. All in all, I would go back again.

This is the very best ramen I’ve had. I’ve eaten at ramen restaurants up and down the West Coast, but only a few times in Japan, but this is the best I’ve experienced. We ordered an Ajitama Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.95) and two Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen ($18.95). The noodles are thin and slippery but satisfyingly chewy with excellent bounce and texture. The broth is rich without being greasy. The chashu is so tender that I thought it must be because they cut theirs extra thin, but we also got some thick slices and they were also super tender. The phrase “melt in your mouth” is overused, but perfectly describes our chashu. Their ajitama eggs were perfectly cooked with the whites about as delicate as I’ve ever had and the yolks in that perfect custard state with the flavor being just right (many places have overpowering seasoning where the ajitama egg competes with the broth) Braised Chashu ($5) - This is a limited item that they usually run out of within an hour of opening We ordered at 6:05pm and got the last one of the night. The chashu is thick cut and grilled. The flavor is strong and the texture was amazingly tender without any chewy bits. Definitely recommended. The only detractor from the evening was the persistent smell of cigarette or tobacco smoke. We couldn't identify the source as none of the people outside the restaurant appeared to be smoking. None of the staff or the nearby customers looked like they had been smoking either. Whatever the source, after we left the restaurant our jackets and outer clothes smelled of cigarette smoke which was a bummer because we expect they'll continue to smell until we have an opportunity to wash the jackets.

Not sure if it is due to I had a take-out order, it just tasted so average.
