There’s a one ramen per person rule and it’s really strict. I wasn’t super hungry and just wanted to accompany friends for dinner and get appetizers and drinks but they said no. Then their vegan ramen had too much garlic in it and gave me a stomach ache. It was a nice atmosphere but I won’t be going back.

An absolute MUST!!! I came to Mensho back in 2018 for the first time and I have to say it’s very gratifying to see that the place is still there even after the pandemic. It’s running like usual and with the same quality of food an service. It’s a one of a kind “you have to wait in line” kind of place, but, listen, it’s worth every minute of you standing outside. The level of gratification once you zip that fist zip, it’s beyond words. It has plenty of vegan options with the same, or even more flavor than the regular ramens. The combination of flavors and the right amount of broth make you feel extremely satisfied once you walk out of the door. It’s that feeling after eating at your Grammys house, when too much food is never too much, but you feel so good after you can’t wait to repeat the experience… yeah, that’s what Mensho is. I can’t wait to come back and try the other vegan options. Completely recommended. ❤️ Vegetarian options: Theres 3 main vegan ramen and some appetizers. The fried mushroom where delicious too.

we were there on a tuesday shortly before 8.30 pm and had to wait about 20 minutes (2 people). the staff were very nice. the toripaitan ramen was fantastic. the price was also good. the wagyu ramen was also delicious - but the price was quite high (despite the wagyu). because of the ambience i only give 4 stars, as it is a very small restaurant. there is not a lot of space at the tables and the food came faster than average and you had the feeling of having to rush because there were other people waiting outside. i can definitely recommend this restaurant for a visit for ramen.

I used to eat here a lot a few years ago when they first opened up but on my latest visit I became violently ill a few hours after and vomiting up everything I had eaten. Not sure what’s happened but the quality seems to have gotten worse over the years.

One of the best toripaitan ramen I have ever had. The soup is very rich in flavor compared with usual toripaitan. The taste is closer to the tonkotsu soup base but it is not greasy at all. The soup is thick and is almost like tsukemen. Some people might not like it and could be too salty for them but it is just right for me. I also like the duck slice and pork slice. Both of them introduce an extra flavor to the soup. For the side dishes, I would recommend the fried enoki and corn wings. However, the wagyu sushi is mediocre.

Best Ramen I've ever had. Wait line outside the door before opening & you can see why. 100% try it if you at all like Ramen.

I arrived at 5pm and was seated almost immediately. I ordered the Enoki Chips and the Spicy Signature Toripaitan Ramen. It was mediocre at best. The food came out quickly and the enoki chips were excellent. The Ramen was undercooked but the noodles seemed to get softer after sitting another 5 minutes. Most textures of the ramen dish were hard or chewy. The chaisu was sliced very thin compared to most ramen dishes that I’ve ordered in the past but it was still flavorful. The last time I was in San Francisco the line to get in was an hour long, so I’m glad I was able to get in today and try it…but I won’t return.
