Mendo TO GO (Oakland)

Food is consistently high quality and fresh, but that’s where the superlatives end. Everything else is hit-or-miss. I order here regularly through Doordash. The price of a caesar salad with chicken, before delivery and service fees, is nearly $18, so at that price one would expect not only consistently high quality food, but also fast, efficient, and accurate service. Not so. On average, the food takes much longer to prepare than other similar spots, and the quantities are really inconsistent. Sometimes I get too many of one ingredient, sometimes not enough, sometimes they forget something, and sometimes I get an entirely different item than the one I ordered. Today was a fairly good day. Tomorrow? Who knows.

It took well over an hour to get the salad I ordered tonight. A few weeks ago I ordered a sandwich that took almost as long. Take out should never take this long. I also should not have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes for someone to show up at the take out counter to pick up my food once my order is ready. This place is obviously not able to handle the amount of orders they are receiving. This will be my last attempt at ordering here.

Waited entirely too long for an order that was placed right at opening. I only tried this location out because I’ve been a super fan of m farms for years ( my go to salad place) and there isn’t one close to my home now that I’ve moved. I happened to be in Berkeley for an appt so ordered from here. Ordered two salads and sandwich exactly at opening and it took 45 plus minutes to receive. Next time I’ll just drive to a retail location.

Updating my previous positive review…the last few times I’ve picked up from here, it’s taken over 30 minutes for my salad. They also cancelled a DoorDash order on me. It shouldn’t take 30 minutes to make a salad. I’m giving up on this place.

consistently good food, fresh & great flavor. My faves are the quinoa avo salad & the vegan bhan mi !

Order took an extra 30 minutes after they said the food would be ready. 60 minutes to make a salad and sandwich is ridiculous
