Not a bad dog, but not as good as Joey's hot dogs in Richmond, Virginia. Best chili dog ever.

Mel retired last week, and the love and work he put into his beloved Mels lives on with his original staff who are determined to continue the fabulous tradition of a fun place to have a delicious fresh hotdog and fries in a warm and friendly 1950's parlor vibe atmosphere.

$12 for small thin hot dog that's not even seasoned, just boiled in water, like you could do at home, plus overly salty fries. The diner is cutely designed, but they had 50 years to try harder and they chose not to.
