I really love the "everything donuts" from Mello, the Chinatown location which are a best seller, they get sold out so quickly. April 04, 2024 yesterday I checked the Mello Arbutus location since I was in the vicinity and was surprised that they had 10 "everything" donuts left around 3 pm when I called to find out. I was excited that they were in stock and went and got 6 of the everything donuts and could not wait to eat them. When I bit into the donut at home, I instantly knew that something was off as it tasted nothing like the taste I know. It tasted slightly bitter and almost tasteless except for a slight savory taste. I was disappointed and to make things worse, I began to have diarrhea since last night. I can say with confidence that it was the donut that caused the diarrhea. This place is hurting the name of Mello donuts and I will never be visiting this location again. The donuts are 5 bucks a piece (quite pricy) and there is no excuse to sell anything but the freshest of fresh donuts.
