Great breakfast place in Chicago. Benedicts, omelettes, crepes and shashuka, which is what I had. Highly recommend!

Alonso P should not hold a management position! He forgot to give the driver most of the food items in the order. Upon returning to pick up the missing food items Alonso P decided to just throw the ready meal that he confirmed found over the phone away and suggested we place a new order. Zero customer service! This used to be my favorite breakfast spot. Speechless!!

Great place for breakfast or brunch. I've been to Chicago 10 times and have tried a lot of things. Meli Cafe was the best. Good atmosphere, friendly service and quick service. Exactly what you need for breakfast. The selection is large, from tart to sweet dishes and the portions are just as large. It was delicious. Next time I visit Chicago, I'll go back to Meli Cafe.

Bad customer service. I was seated but i was sitting there alone for a long time. Three waiters repeatedly walked pass me, i understand that they could be working other tables but communication would have made the experience better. I asked for no tomato and my food came out with tomato, tomato makes crispy foods soggy.. i told my waiter that i said no tomato and she says i never asked and said did i just want the kitchen to take it off? :/ everyone was just awkward and i felt alone. I would not recommend especially if eating alone. I feel like thats also why they were acting funny.

TERRIBLE service. I haven’t had this terrible of service from any restaurant anywhere in YEARS!! We got food before drinks. No water refills at all. And I got up to refill my own coffee. As a former server myself this is EMBARRASSING!!

This place is absolutely amazing for breakfast and lunch!! My friends and I stayed at Hotel Blake for St Patricks weekend and loved going here nearly every day for breakfast. Everything we had on the menu was fresh and cooked to perfection. I've truly never seen eggs poached or scrambled so perfectly plump and fluffy!! The food was very fresh, and they had gluten-free options too. The crepes were perfectly delicate and delicious all at once. The place is clean and the waiters were very friendly. My only comment is that sometimes the staff ratio was low, so it took a few minutes to get a check back, but otherwise, they were very accommodating and lively. The food came out in a short time, and there is a fun, unexpected little window to peak through and watch the kitchen as they work. All in all, I can't speak well enough of this restaurant from food to service. You're missing out if you don't stop here for breakfast while in Chicago!!! It's an absolute treat.
