From Madison Middle Schoolers in Seattle to families, what a great game and meet-up social fun place.
I give this store credit for keeping a very tidy, well-merchandised environment and the kind young woman working in the cafe was very outgoing but the general vibe from the rest of the staff was, for the most part, unwelcoming and anti-social.
It flies in the face of what I expected from a place that literally sells products that require social interaction.
I'm incredibly disappointed because I've been wanting to drop in for a while and this was my first time, especially after seeing regular announcements for events in West Seattle Blog that seemingly encourage newcomers to participate.
I guess my husband and I looked too old to be acceptable or worthy of being treated kindly (with the exception of the blond barista).
I thought I also overheard one of the employees tell his co-worker to "check the wall" after my husband and I went to look at the miniature figurines hanging on one of the walls. I'm Latino so I guess that automatically makes me a shoplifter. I get wrongfully profiled enough in upscale department stores. The last thing I need is to get that same racial profiling treatment from a store that sells products I've had lifelong passion for.
I won't be going back.
Fun to rent a game and play with friends.
Such a cute fun place to play! A ton of Magic the Gathering opportunity. Excellent selection of games. Pleasant helpful staff.
Great staff, positive and inclusive vibe.
Great board game cafe! We like to go and play new games and eat sandwiches. They have a lot of games to choose from, including more obscure ones. It's a fun activity to do on a rainy day.
Great environment to relax and play games. Excellent seating in the cafe and the smaller hall behind it. I'll definitely be returning soon to support my FLGS.
Awesome game shop! Looking forward to returning and renting some games to play!
