My favorite dish is Hainnan Chicken! 10/10 organic, juicy chicken. They come with chicken broth on the side and spicy ginger sauce! The portion was small but worth it
The dishes are very authentic. The menu is well designed and it always feels like I’m eating at a friends house because the staff is so warm and welcoming
$20 + tax for the smallest banh mi I’ve ever seen. And it was totally burnt. The pork it self was the only redeeming quality. Unfortunately there’s almost none on the sandwich. Really seems like they don’t care at all.
I’m not sure why it took me this long to find out about this place, but they have the most authentic char koay teow you can find in Los Angeles! (As close as it can get without the one ingredient that is banned here) Their Hainan Chicken Rice and Mee Goreng is pretty spot on as well. If you are Malaysian/Singaporean living on the west side and has cravings for food from home, look no further! I wish they have more offerings like Roti Canai or Hokkien Mee but being an Asian fusion place half their offerings are western. I’ll take what I can get though!
Service was quick, but they were not busy. Server seemed like she was in a bad mood, banging on ice and appearing impatient. The restaurant bar top was totally cluttered restaurant did not seem clean. Worst of all the food. Was way too salty and the portions were fit for a toddler. The pork belly container was 1/3 of the way full and the broth was the size of my palm. I’m incredibly disappointed. This was $27!
