WARNING: IF YOU ARE CAUCASIAN DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING!!! I had a interview with Tania about 2 weeks ago. She was an hour late for the interview so I came back an hour later and had a brief interview because she said she had lost her phone and couldn’t look up my information (I know how professional right) so she said to come back a few days later when she had her shyt together, which I did. The second interview went great! I told her I would prefer to work night shift she said that’s exactly what they were hiring for and that I’d hear back from MKV McDonald’s corporate office in 12 hours to discuss pay and exact schedule. So a few days go by and I call them, because like the true caring, professionals they are, they never had the decency or respect to call me. Tania says she’ll call me on Monday which was a few days from when I called. She never called! I know SHOCKER right! So I finally just went into the location and lo and behold they have a table with little applications trying to get people to work. I ask what happened and they gm Elsa says they “moved on with different candidates.” They wouldn’t even give me a single reason why. So even though I have plenty restaurant experience, could work ANY SHIFT, was told I would receive a call from MKV within 12 hours to discuss specifics about the job, they didn’t hire me. The only reason I can think of is because I’m white and they have like 2 people that work there that are white. Absolutely despicable McDonalds!!! And the district manager Claudia was completely rude, confrontational, inconsiderate, cruel, and hostile! So, it really kinda worked out cause I don’t want to work for a bigoted, racist company anyways! So if you’re white, don’t waste your time!!! ***EDIT*** After speaking with my lawyer and asking him about the situation, he said while McDonald’s’s isn’t required to give me a reason as to why they didn’t hire me, the reason why they refused is most likely because if they told me why they didn’t hire me, they would be revealing their discriminatory hiring practices. Makes complete sense go up to that McDonald’s at any time day or night and tell me where their “diversity” is lacking! An ANTI-DIVERSE establishment.
