Super friendly atmosphere especially from the bartender out in the open door section!
Onion rings are great. Had chicken pot pie, and it was delicious.
Food and service here is good. Love the Brussel sprouts and I can pretend I’m eating vegetables. They need to lose the table top ads especially now they are propped where they shine in the face. Tacky.
They HAVE to do better! Have been coming here for 12 years as this place is in our backyard. We soooo long for a village tavern. We have seen the portions decreasing steadily in direct correlation with the increase of prices. We quit going for a couple of years due to this. When I ordered that $19.00 salad with no lettuce was pretty ridiculous. After Covid, we tried it again and it was great. Things seemed to have shifted and it’s been back on our weekly rotation. We were gone for the holidays and came back in tonight- I am now DONE- again. My husband wasn’t feeling great and thought gumbo sounded good- so we came in. His $10.00 “bowl” of gumbo could not have possibly been more than a 1 cup measurement. Shouldn’t a cup be a taste and a bowl be a meal? My chicken picatta sauce tasted like vinegar and mayonnaise. I ate my chicken but couldn’t eat the pasta. I had to wait for my meal almost 10 minutes after my husband’s. Server offered to bring me something else but was I going to wait another 15 minutes? For what? What is the solution? I am so done! Once again. . But guess what McCray’s? You got that extra 75 cents for the extra parm for the pasta I couldn’t eat didn’t ya?
Wonderful waitress, delicious food!
