I went here for a business dinner. The restaurant was busy but they were able to seat us even though we did not have a reservation. We started with the M&S signature cocktail. A nice detail about this cocktail was that it came with a monogram on the foam. It was sophisticated and delicious. We had calamari to start. It has a lovely sauce and was cooked nicely. It was not rubbery or overcooked. For the main meal I chose the fish and chips. It came with three pieces of fish and rustic fries. The side of Cole slaw was fresh and not too tangy. The apple pie dessert had great flavor and was not too sweet. The service was good and the server was polite. I enjoyed my meal here and I would go back again.
Awesome place to eat in Philadelphia. Our waiter Eli was phenomenal and the food and drinks were really good
Everything was great except for the food. Food was ok. We asked for the side of roasted vegetables which only had green beans in it. Expected a bit more variety.
The happy hour is worth checking out
I had very good meals at their Baltimore location. What is going with this one? The food was below average. The stuffed salmon was too cooked (almost dry) and super salty. Same for the green beans. Good taste and flavor but too much salt. The "parmesan crusted Flounder" tasted like chicken parmesan. No kidding and too salty. The service was average and the waiter was awful. Someone from the kitchen brought the entree and asked us to move our appetizer plates to the side so he could put the entree on the table. The entrée were served on different colored and shaped plates. The waiter came with the desert menu while we werr still eating the entree. We kindly asked him to wait and he never returned. On the positive side the $20 crab cake appetizer was good. We were excited about the opportunity to have a nice seafood dinner at Mc Comick. What a disapointment, especially when you spend $100 per person.
Ordered Dolce sangria, rosscato sweet red wine bottle for the table, lobster bisque, beer battered fish and chips, and truffle Mac ‘n cheese. My bestie ordered the Thai calamari, spinach, truffle Mac, and fried shrimp entree. For dessert we ordered apple pie, a scoop of cinnamon ice cream, and the butter cake. Everything was tasty, well cooked, and presented nicely. The butter cake was so goey and sweet! Next time I’ll actually get a steak or a fish dish, we just felt like having fried foods with sodium and cake after a long work week. Portions were pretty big for me. Servers were very attentive and decent, although one spilled our wine a bit but that’s okay. The other wait staff were also nice and courteous; they greeted and said goodbye. Came for 6:30 reservation with my bestie on an early Spring Friday and vibe in the dining room was pretty dead but I prefer that over screaming. Maybe next time we’ll suggest a high table by the bar for more of a vibe. That’s on us though. Overall, lovely experience. I was absolutely stuffed by the end of it. I’ll probably return again just for comfort of the food and decent ambience.
