I was a worker of McAlister’s deli downtown and the manager French fired me today because I told another manager that I couldn’t make it to work because I had a family emergency my brother was shot and he couldn’t understand that I had to be there for him but just a couple weeks ago left work to go see if a dog was okay , he also be late for work and don’t fix my time , he didnt let me take breaks he use to eat and not let others eat without paying and he never paid he watered down the soups he don’t change the lemonade he just change the date tags it’s mold under the lemons they don’t wipe down and they attitudes stank
The young lady working the cash register during lunch hours has the nastiest attitude. She rushes me every time I order. A conversation about customer service needs to be had.
Bread was hard and old and missing bacon.
My overall experience with McAlister’s was terrible. I first called to make a call in order because I was coming out for my 30 min break and just wanted to easily pick up my order. When calling a sweet girl answer the phone but my question was for A MANAGER IN SPECIFIC. I should not have to call and relay a message back and forth through an employee when I specifically asked for a manager. A manager should answer the phone to start with because that’s who I call for when I am calling any restaurant. After relaying the message back and forth still no clarity a manager by the name of christina I believe she said gets on the phone with the nasties attitude I have ever had to deal with that could have been avoided had a manager answered the phone in the first place. Although that was my worse experience at this location the girl who initially answered the phone was very sweet, patient and understanding.
Was refused service a half hour before closing. Said they had shut everything down already.
Rotten, black lettuce served on bottom of Chef salad today. Absolutely unacceptable to serve that to others much less charge $14 for it. I've filed a complaint with Door Dash . Delivery was less than 15 mins. I hope they train their employees to do better.
When I walked into the restaurant, I walked up to the counter and did not get greeted or acknowledged. I stepped back to look at the salad menu/board. Then I went back to the counter. By this time, I was only recognized because a line developed. The female was not too enthused about taking my order. She made me feel some type of way when I asked for the "G" cheese... Ya know the cheese that starts with a G. I only asked that way because I did not know how to pronounce it (Gorgonzola cheese). However, the food was good as expected. The guy that asked about my tea that was left on counter and gave me my meals actually made me feel better about being there. I wish I knew his name. But he was friendly. I would recommend this place but make sure you park in the parking deck because I had to in order to find somewhere to park. Remember, it is near UAB hospital so parking IS limited.
Fast and friendly service and even recommended a tasty witches brew ^^ would be coming back again,
