Best Italian restaurant in OC! What a wonderful experience we had last night at Mazara Trattoria! Laura, the owner, has done a fabulous job, not only with the ambiance of the restaurant, the way she remembers her guests and personally visits each table but the food is simply the best in OC. Truly the classic Italian style. We had the special of the day, Short rib pasta with homemade pappardelle pasta which was perfect. Very large portion. The minestrone soup was also top notch. Wine was great and at a reasonable price. It was a special night out for us. Treat yourself sometime to this fabulous restaurant!

The food is great but the service puts it over the top. It is such an enjoyable overall experience. Features: Hand sanitizer available. Sanitize tables in between seating Parking: Parking can be tight. There is also parking available in the back.

It has been a while since having such flavorful food.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! We found this restaurant “accidentally” a few years ago and go back regularly. As others have said - best Italian in Orange County! Owners welcome you and stop by each table - feels like we are visiting friends. Try to make reservations - it can get busy but they will do whatever they can to accommodate!

I am an Italian that has lived in the US for over 10 years. The dinner I had here sent me back home and I left the Trattoria in tears. I wish I never had to leave. Gino and Laura have the best place for anyone to truly experience what dining in Italy is like. I am taking my whole family here ASAP. They are careful about any dietary restrictions that they are made aware of.
