Maxine's Bistro and Bar - American Restaurant in Miami Beach

Just don’t! Throughly disgusted! Ordered drink and dessert. Never received our dessert! Poor service! Waiter never came to check on us after drink delivered. Then charged us $20.00 for 1 drink never received dessert!! One mojito!! Absolutely disgusted!! Manager just said sorry, really just did not care. They are on the strip and plenty of people just stop by. Not a normal experience for this area.

Unfortunately, I have to give this place a 1 star, it actually deserves Zer0 stars. We stopped only to have a drink and dessert after a night out. SADLY we had a waiter(Nacho) who give us the worst service in Miami. We ended up hours later only getting One (20$)Mojito and Zero dessert. Then only reason it wasn't longer was bc I had to get a manager to get us the bill.We will NEVER be back.After spending lots of time along south beach, this is the Only place I have give given a One star review. There are to many other fantastic places to eat with better service.

Had a bad breakfast experience here. They open at 8am, we arrived around 830, but they wouldn’t let us sit outside, even though a number of tables were already set up outside. Grumpy woman said they were still setting up other tables so we had to sit inside, which which had no atmosphere. Scrambled eggs and bacon were overcooked and bacon had no flavor. French toast was horrible - we couldn’t finish it.

My wife and I went because of the enticement of free drinks during happy hour 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, since we were staying at an affiliated hotel. We knew it was a trap, but willingly jumped into the catch seeing mostly positive reviews. As it turned out the free drinks were all rum-based, not my thing, so we settled in for dinner. I chose Maxine's Burger and my wife had seafood pasta. The food was generous and delicious. My wife, who regularly declares her disdain for pasta, loved her dish with a big chunk of salmon, mussels, and shrimp. Maxine's Burger was a gourmet burger delight. My wife ordered a Miami Vice drink that was bigger than her (we had to tag-team it to finish it), and I had a couple of nice Goose Island IPAs, the second on the house because the manager was apologetic about some beautifying work and remodeling that were taking place on the patio where we were seated. Best of all we had Nacho for a server, who was the most attentive and friendliest server we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He elevated a great meal to an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

I would give this restaurant a zero if I could. The manager Juan was extremely unnecessarily rude. I would not recommend this restaurant tor their service to anyone. Avoid at all cost.

Very good food and great service

So, unfortunately, Maxine bistro was a miss for me and my wife. We were greeted by a hostess/waitress that just seemed to be having a bad day. It was evident during the conversations with her colleagues, and what seemed like management as well. Unfortunately that’s the service we received the entire by this individual. The order was not exactly what we wanted. She forgot her appetizer, another waiter who is very kind and nice brought it out to us. We had to like get her eye contact for her to come and check on us multiple times just wasn’t the greatest experience. I’m not saying we won’t be back, it just may be the last option on that trip music was good.
