Best Pizza in Marin hands down!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason this place isn’t well known is because of the restaurant's location. No inside seating, only outside and it’s next to a local cleaner. The pizza is my family’s favorite. I don’t like thin crust but LOVE their pizza and its thin crust. It’s crunchy, chewy, cheesy, spicy, and mild all at the same time. I’ve never been able to actually taste the mozzarella cheese on a pizza before. It’s always been hidden. But even with toppings the mozzarella taste comes through. Completely addicted!! I guarantee you it’s the best pizza you will ever have on the west coast. Strong statement I know. But it’s true. I seriously tell everyone I know about this place. Try it

I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and it had a wonderful fresh taste. I also ordered the squash homemade ravioli. I was able to buy frozen and make at home. Great portions for the price. Planning to come back again.

Good food and the owner was very friendly. It’s a pretty basic shack, operating mostly on takeout business. They do have some seating outside if you came to it thinking a restaurant like us.

Tried them for the first time out of curiosity. Surprised by the large menu of items. All good ingredients, and for Marin the pizzas are a good value. However, despite the nice fresh ingredients the dishes weren't all that enjoyable. The pizza crust had excellent texture and crispness, but no flavor. The toppings were fresh but nothing popped in flavor either. Creekside pizza is far superior, but I see no reason that Mauro's couldn't be on par with them if they tweak their dough a bit. Similar experience with the lasagna and other items tried. Good, but not great. The breadsticks were heavy, dense, and tasteless. Took one bite and tossed them in the compost bin.

New: I am happy to report that this place has cleaned up significantly since the new owners took over. Pasta back in the case. Pizza slices back on the rack. Staff seems to have gotten the flow of the place. Happy to be able to bump this place up to a 5 star review. Old: Lady at the register seems nice, but has no idea what any of the food is in the display case. Guy making pizza arguing with another guy behind the counter. Three items in the display case, no slices. This has been a neighborhood stop in spot for years, drop in grab a slice or a pasta. There is a menu now. The print is too small (I am not even 40) and menu has commentary in it about naming a pizza after a motorcycle. Cut the cute text out increase the font size, and keep the display case full. Otherwise rename the place so we can expect something different from it. Happy to revise my review in the future, but first impressions are not looking great. Ended up picking up a lasagne from the case, very bland in comparison to offerings prior. I hope these are just new restaurant growing pains.

If hot dog water had a metaphorical pasta/pizza equivalent. The pizza by the slice was warmed up wet dough, and i didn't even get to look at a menu, but maybe that's my fault for not asking for one. When I walked in I didn't see any menus, just a display case of pasta in Tupperware, and some cold sad pizza by the slice. The guy who served us smelled like cigarettes but he was very nice and he brought our food to us on the patio. I was just disappointed in the quality. 3 slices and 2 sodas was 20 bucks. which is a fair price for what we got.
