Massine's Your Independent Grocer Ottawa

Staff are great but this place really gouges you on prices. I can (and do) walk down the street to another grocery store and get produce at almost half the price. Only go here as a last resort or if you know that their price on something is actually the same at other stores in the area. EDIT: I changed my 2 star review to 1 because the prices have gotten totally out of hand in comparison to other stores. Onions, tomatoes, bananas, tinned tomato sauce, etc. They are all pretty much double what I paid at Walmart yesterday. Even the smaller specialty stores a couple of blocks away are cheaper. I recommend Thana on Bank street, Kowloon Market on Somerset and Lim Bangkok which is also in chinatown. Better produce, fresher meat and fish, and at lest 1/3 less expensive if not half.

Good place to buy groceries on your way back to home from office in downtown Ottawa. Good and premium quality products.

This location has ample parking which is underground and heated...which is nice.
