I ordered the Oxe Tail dinner to go. Once I arrived home to eat, discovered there were only 2 small pieces in the whole dinner. I called back to the restaurant to complain and the guy that ring me up wouldn't let me speak with the manager. To top things off the dinner conducted of some sort of stew with a ton of extra huge cut carrots, red sauce and potatoes and rice. I was over charged and I would up being sick for 3 days
Good is tasty. I’ve eaten several meals and an issue i have is their grilled fish is always too charred and burnt. Salad sometimes comes with no dressing otherwise I enjoy the seasoning and portions
Ordered okra soup fufu and plantains as well as goat soup fufu and some bissap. Grateful they held my ordered past close since I was coming from out of town yet the food was not satisfying. I’ve had the first ordered several times across the country and the way it’s made here is ok. The okra itself was so over cooked it was mostly strawish and stringy, there was no draw and way to much oil. There was beef and smoked Turkey necks which added a nice flavor. They serve the brown fufu. The fried plantains were delicious and cooked perfectly. My taste buds prefer okra soup with goat/fish and with some draw to it if this is similar to your preference I would try another option.
Very nice place for authentic West African cuisine. The staff was helpful with picking out what to eat since we'd never had West African food before. If this is what you're after definitely check them out.
Clean, very friendly staff. I’m (African) American and I don’t really like African food, it’s usually too spicy or too dry or foreign (cow feet soup, lamb). After eating here, I have completely changed my mind. As we say in the hood, ‘it’s poppin’. We waited about 25 or so minutes but it was worth the wait. Vegetarian options: The jollof rice has onions and peppers in it. Very delicious.
My son works with one of the family members of the owners of this place. Gave it a try for the first time tonight and it was absolutely delicious. I got a #7 , my husband got the spicy chicken, and my son got a soup of some kind- can’t remember the name. Also shared some plantains. The serving sizes were huge and we have enough left for dinner tomorrow!
I love the food here and the service there may be a wait but other than that its worth it everytime !!!! I love everything I tried here.
Omg!!! The food was amazing, very well seasoned and hot. I had the grilled lamb and fries. The fries were hot and crisp. There were onions on both sides of my lamb. They were both delicious, but one tasted like mustard and it was fantastic. I need that recipe. My only issue was the language barrier. I would recommend having menus with an explanation of each dish. When I asked about one of the dishes, the guy began reading the board. I tried to explain that I wanted to know what was in it, but he still didn't get it.
