Went in Saturday night with my family and ordered 3 rolls a soup and appetizer every thing was good but disappointed with timing everything came out at different times and my food came out last

Wow! What a great surprise- inside we found a really delicious Japanese restaurant . The food was delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommend .

This place is fantastic! Istarted out with the veggie soup, which truly warmed my soul. We had several rolls, a tuna tataki, and some uni - all of the fish was fresh and prepared with love. Even though we were full, we decided to do a green tea ice cream for dessert and was lovely! I feel the pricing for what we ordered was reasonable, and the atmosphere/staff was all very nice. I will definitely be coming back!

Update: Came back with friends. We ordered our entrees and I can say that food were served on a timely fashion. As soon as the last dish was served though, we decided to order for another noodle dish. However we didn't expect to wait for 30 minutes for a noodle dish. The owner/server should have given us a notice that it will take a while if the kitchen is backed up with orders. So just an advice that order all at once otherwise you will get stuck there. Initial- Ok... here's my take on Masamune. Definitely a legit Japanese place if you want fresh sashimi. I agreed that this place is a hole in the wall but definitely a hidden gem. My husband is a sashimi snob and am glad we found this place . We live next town and we drove to try this place based on the reviews.. Take note - the chefs behind the counters preparing the sashimi and sushis are Japanese. We couldn't believe the price for the quality of fish. Dishes we ordered- Sashimi de luxe, grilled octopus, soft shell crab, live oysters , seafood miso soup, regular miso soup , matcha cheesecake and crispy fish salad. Our favorites were the sashimi , miso soup ( definitely not same with the ones you get from other Asian restaurants) and the fish salad. For the live oysters, they were served with sauces which I found too salty. Soft shell crabs were good but didn't like it served with spicy mayo. I suggest to have it on the side and you can ask for ponzu sauce too so you can try both sauce. Grilled squid was kinda on the tough side otherwise marinated well. Yes, we will return.

Fresh! Expansive menu with authentic options! GREAT FRIENDLY service. Lovely little, inconspicuous "hole-in-the-wall" ambience with large outdoor patio area for al fresco dining. ✌️

Food is amazing and staff is professional and welcoming.

This place was incredible. You’re greeted by the very kind staff when you walk in and we got to sit where ever we wanted. The sashimi was so fresh and not fishy at all. The salmon melts in your mouth. The ceviche was perfect and had great flavor. I ordered the tuna heart roll which was very good and pretty! My sister ordered the tonkatsu ramen which she said was very good. Very creamy broth and good pork on top. This was hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had. My favorite used to be wegmans sushi, but this takes the cake!

First time, tried some hand rolls and takoyaki. Server boasted the best sushi, but came after a lengthy wait quite mediocre. Prices are great, but quality of what was tried between me and my company came with very high expectations that weren't met. Will try other items to see if this current rating stands.
