TLDR: The Chicken Biryani was too hot. I HAVE been craving a Chicken biryani for a while now. Decided to check this spot out after another location disappointed. Well, I am still disappointed. I don’t believe the plate should cost a customer $20 and I think they overdid on the green chilli. I live with spice but the green chillis, which i’m pretty sure they used at least 3 for my plate, overpowered the spices and took away the main point of the dish. I don’t mean to rip the place from the other dishes but the Chicken Biryani was not a good one. I suppose I’ll just take the hike to Queens and get myself a good ol’ Chicken Biryani.

First time trying vada pav and samosa pav. The pav/bread was so soft and buttery. In one bite, you experience the softness of the bread, the crunchiness of the samosa skin, and the smoothness of the spiced potato filling. The bread was spread with cilantro chutney and chili powder, adding an extra layer of freshness and heat. Paneer tikka roll. Perfect for snacking or a quick lunch! The grilled paneer cheese was milky and creamy! Lamb korma box. The korma was rich and nutty. The lamb was so tender it yielded to a fork’s touch. A whole box contains one main entree, yellow dal, rice, paratha, onion salad... so filling! Chicken biryani. The chicken was juicy, and the whole dish was really well-spiced. Fiery, savory, tangy, sweet... very addictive. Mango lassi. Creamy, silky, and rich in mango flavor. A good companion to spicy Indian food!

I was excited to try the Vada Pav and it looked decent when it arrived. I asked for tamarind chutney and they said that's a $2 extra charge. How does that compute? It's a basic condiment that's eaten with Vada Pav. Equivalent to a French fry place charging for ketchup. The pav was the Honest brand Pav which is shelf stable and drier to begin with, the Vada was super small relative to the Pav, and the lack of chutney made it a depressing experience. Make it make sense, please.

3/5: Takeout-level food at near full restaurant-level prices Paid $15 for a Pav Bhaji. It was good but not out of this world and was served on a cardboard plate despite dining inside. Really? The whole restaurant is solid, don’t get me wrong, but for the price you end up paying, you can pay just a tad bit more and go to comparable Indian options even in the area and find similar or better food with nicer atmospheres, proper plates, full service, etc. Meanwhile, this place feels like one of those takeout places that happens to have a couple seats inside for the rare customer here or there who actually wants to eat inside. Kinda like a lot of takeout Chinese restaurants. Overall, food’s not bad and can hit the spot, but your money can be better spent elsewhere.
