Ma's Restaurant

First time in San Jose and wanted to try this place and let me tell you, it was worth it!!!!! At first the service was slow because it was busy in there but as soon as we place our order everything came out super fast. Between placing the order and getting our food was about 10 mins. Wow. Everything was hot and delicious. We loved it and we will be back. We got shrimp fried rice, fried chicken wings, Mongolian beef and house special fried rice. And last don’t forget your free ice cream cone.

This is local Halal option for Chinese food in Bay Area. We have been there with family and friends numerous times over the last few years and they never disappoint. Food is always fresh and served within reasonable time. All staff, management and waiters are Chinese and friendly, food is authentic, tastes excellent and served in good proportions. If you’re looking for Halal Chinese restaurant in Bay Area then do try Ma’s restaurant, you will be pleasantly surprised. Just be ware that on weekends there is que so must book prior to your visit. It is worth the wait!

We went here based on recommendation, but felt this is pretty average. We tried mopu tofu, sesame pancakes. Both ranged about $16 a plate and food was very okay. The food quantity is big size and meant to be shared. It took around 15 minutes for food to arrive. They did charge a service charge of 15% for 2 people, which felt weird (felt Like compulsive tip). Don’t feel we will come here again.

晚上一个人来吃点了份汤面，说手擀面筋道，结果煮出来牙齿一碰就断，丝毫没嚼劲，感觉一点都不新鲜。说不要香菜放了香菜。好心提了意见，然后就没下文了，被忽略5分钟，面最后吃了20%，草草结账离开。我猜这种餐馆这种服务还存在就是因为我们这种食客还在纵容它吧。环境上课，茶杯茶壶很漂亮。汤面非常难吃，不知道做出来厨师自己吃的下去吗？

Going to the restaurant for years. Prices keep going up. Last time I was there I wasn’t happy with the food as well. 2 Fried rices we ordered were really dry. Other four items were OK. Let’s not talk about service I guess all Chinese restaurants’ waiters are rude lol

I am pleased that I stumbled upon this restaurant. It will quickly become one of my go-to Chinese places. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and although not very spacious, it provides a relaxed and pleasant environment to enjoy your meal. Moreover, the menu is quite varied and offers more vegetarian options than you would typically find in Chinese restaurants. Try their food and enjoy a complimentary dessert of ice cream!
