Marx Bagels

My husband and I LOVE this place! It’s so fun to experiment with all the different types of bagels and all the different cream cheeses and spreads. I’m Jewish and, especially in a time of so much antisemitism, it’s so nice to see my community thrive like this. Now that I’ve found Marx, I’m committed to becoming a regular! So far some of my favorite orders have been a hummus sandwich on a half and half bagel with all the fixings, blueberry cream cheese on a strawberry bagel, strawberry cream cheese on a blueberry bagel, and strawberry cream cheese on a chocolate chip bagel! But we’re still working our way through the entire menu and all the combinations!

Yeah, their bagels are good… but chances are, they aren’t going to give you the right bagels. They will substitute things without even asking or telling you and you will get to your office 20 minutes away to realize your order is basically inedible. (Substituting a regular parmesan bagel for cheddar JALAPEÑO without notice is unacceptable). This has happened to me TWICE. And both times, Ive called to try to get a resolution, but no one ever answers the phone.

This is a great bagel shop. All employees were very nice and helpful. The food was awesome as well.

I am from out of state but have visited twice now when visiting family to buy bagels based on the quality of them and the cream cheese. Both times my order was taken by the same older, larger gentlemen. Both times he seemed annoyed that I didn't have their menu memorized, was rude, and rushed me through the order (dramatically showing his annoyance). This last time I was shorted bagels. I definitely ordered the bakers dozen as I got an annoyed countdown as I ordered a variety 1-2 at a time - so whether the miss-punch of items was intention or accidental, it wasn't caught by them packing the bagels either. I highly recommend the quality of the food but think they could do better prioritizing guest experience.

This is not the Marx hot bagel's I grew up with as a kid. The quality is terrible now, small portions considering the cost. 15 bucks for a small bagels with lox and cappers that wasn’t good. Not even close to an authentic bagel experience one would encounter in New York City
