Marvin’s Restaurant & Lounge

Showed up on a Sunday with friends after church on a cold, rainy day. It was difficult to find the restaurant because it’s in an alley in which you can not drive. Google said it was open. Once I showed up the hours said they were open but in reality they were not. Difficult to support business when they are not consistent in their hours.

Marvin’s is permanently closed.

Highly recommend. Service was great and the food was excellent. I had the chicken & waffles with a side of grits. I could not stop eating the grits until they were gone let's just start there and the chicken was fried PERFECTLY! Brunch was an A++++

AWFULLL, my coffee that was stale and never refilled was bad and was $4 , our bar girl was RUDEE bad attitude kept accusing us of switching seats when my friend had a allergy and moved once , she charged 20% gradituity for bad service and the wait was TWO HOURS FOR OUR FOOD that was decent I will never be visiting again !!!

Wait time was horrible not just for me but to other's as well.

I celebrated a mile stone which was my 50th birthday this past Sunday and was very disappointed with the service. We had to wait two hours for our food and I reserve weeks prior in advance for 20 people to attend my birthday brunch. There was no I’m sorry nothing else to accommodate my party. All I was told was we were short staffed and one person‘s meal was messed up and nothing was done about it I try to promote small businesses because I was told the food and the atmosphere would be a great place for me to celebrate my 50th birthday. The food was good but service was bad and it was very hot inside the restaurant. When I arrived, I arrive 10 minutes early and had to wait after 2 PM just to set up the tables waiting on another party to leave.

Service is sloooooowwwww! Waited 1.5 hours for food we did not receive because we were no longer waiting. It was only two people in my party. Do not come hungry!! People speak on long waits to be seated and it is because of the time people currently sitting spend waiting on their food to arrive to eat. 15$ fee if you are late for your reservation but there is no money deducted from the bill for a long wait for food. Arrived at 1130 and it is now 1PM! Leaving without food! Manager states this is an ongoing issue with short staff in the kitchen. If you need a job they can use you. Wish I had a chance to review the food!! Manager was attentive in listening and my ice cold water was refreshing!
