The service was exceptional. We were a large party of 12 (7 were kids). Not a beat was missed. Thank you!
Very limited items in their menu but food is really good
Maruhachi is my favorite ramen place before it changed its old name “marutama”. This one is the Gaiden of maruhachi which means it has something different. I ordered the Torisoba which has chicken broth chicken chashu and not pork used. It has a different taste than the original broth but delicious as well! Nowadays they offer the original ramen i.e. tamago ramen and so on. But if you are going to try this place, you should try something different like tsukw-men or torisoba! Also I should confess that chicken chashu is not as good as original pork chashu and that may be why people only make chashu in pork.
Restaurant was very rude, unacceptable service. They refused me and my friends entry because he had a guide dog. This should not be allowed and management should be informed. I would also like to add that the selection of food was miniscule.
The food was great, however it is inconvenient how they don’t accept cash. I tried to pay the full amount but was short by eleven cents. I told the waitress, “Is it possible if I can pay $49.58 and my friend the remaining eleven cents?”. She said it wasn’t possible because we either had to split the bill into two parts or pay the whole thing. I do not get how you can’t just type in the amount of money you have to pay on the Credit/Debit card machine. It could’ve all been resolved if she had just typed in the right numbers. I’ve seen it done in multiple restaurants, it’s unacceptable. At this point, it’s just laziness and it shouldn’t be that hard to count money. Covid is OVER.
I loved their ramen! The broth was thick and almost creamy with tons of savoury umami, and the noodles were firm and had the perfect amount of chewiness. Unfortunately they no longer have the unlimited garlic chips, but it's a minor complaint compared to everything else. Their tsukemen was also very tasty, and I loved that they also give you free broth to dilute the strong tsukemen broth after you finish all the noodles. I recommend everything that I tried - from the chashu ramen, to tsukemen. I will definitely be visiting again!
Yuuuum yummy yummy. Great service, delicious ramen, best neighbourhood!
My go to ramen spot on Main Street, authentic and delicious broth. The ultimate comfort food that I enjoy once a week. Love the chill space and staff too.
