Really enjoyed our dinner last night from start to finish. Pleasant service, not overbearing & not stand-offish. Food was fantastic - stand outs for us were the grilled shrimp, branzino, short rib pasta, and the date cake. Will definitely be back. Ambiance was romantic & lovely to have heaters on the patio. Price is what you’d expect in San Diego for a nice restaurant.
We were very happy to have chosen this place for dinner. Staff is friendly and the menu is great! Extensive selection of spirits, cocktails and wines, but only one type of beer. Desserts are great too!
A friend of mine brought me here for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. The ambiance was beautiful, and you could see the chefs working their magic in the open kitchen. The food was spectacular! It was my first time trying gnocchi and it was absolutely delectable. My friend had mentioned to our waiter that it was my birthday, so he brought out my dessert with a couple sparklers. It was an awesome touch and so thoughtful. The Meyer lemon dessert is the best dessert I've ever had in my life. It was a fantastic birthday dinner.
Ambience is great, waiters are friendly&attentive and food is delicious. This spot may be considered pricy (for example rigatoni pasta is $27) but it is a nice treat. We had a reservation for a party of 7 celebrating a birthday and were comfortably seated inside. I highly recommend the focaccia bread that is served with a flavorful green dip. The bread was the BEST! Warm and soft. The mushroom crostini was unique and delicious. For pasta, we had rigatoni, einkorn cavatelli and linguine. My linguine is a duck ragu with tender meat but was a bit salty, however, I stilled enjoyed it. The Saba&Tonic drink was refreshing and non-alcoholic. Everyone enjoyed their dish and the portion size is european portion rather than larger americans portion. It was the perfect size with no leftovers. For dessert, I recommend the medjool date cake that is the perfect amount of sweetness and served with icecream. Things to keep in mind: Parking is challenging to find on the weekends in that area. There was a long line throughout the evening to use the only two unisex restrooms available.
I dare you to try this place. Double dog dare. Everything we had was delicious.
We had the best time at Marisi tonight! The serving staff took such good care of us! We were hoping to try a lot of different things, so the staff put together an impromptu tasting menu. It was truly incredible! We’re alcohol-free, and we were served 2 amazing mocktails with our 8 course meal. We were too full for a dessert, but our server surprised us with a mini-version of one of the desserts that we thought sounded delicious. Thank you so much, Marisi, for an amazing and delicious experience!!
Lucas is awesome, great recommendations and amazing service and created the perfect atmosphere. He is soulful and very genuine.
My entree was a very small portion
Very nice place and atmosphere, however, they are stingy on the food portion for the price they charge. And I’m from Europe so I’m used to small portion but this feels like a robbery.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in San Diego. We've been five or six times and never been disappointed. Incredible aesthetic, excellent drinks and just delicious food. This current spring menu has a burrata dish that's phenomenal (sounds impossible but trust me. The strawberries are smokey and it's so good you might cry).
