Per a few friend’s recommendation, I stopped at Marigold when I was in Madison. We went on a Friday morning and it was packed! But we were seated fairly quickly, and honestly, totally worth waiting for. My breakfast sandwich was so good, I loved the cheeses and bacon. I was full for a while! Very cute space, great service. A 10/10 from me!

This is a busy place and rightfully so. Do not get discouraged by a long line of people outside waiting to get in. We arrived and there was a line of at least twenty people in front of us so we thought it would be a wait. We had a table in less than five minutes and looked at the menu while waiting and thus were able to order at the counter right away before we even sat down. The food was delicious and tasty and high quality and hot and presented well. The staff is highly efficient, very friendly and the table turnover was super fast which explains why our wait was so short. This could be the most efficient restaurant that also serves high quality foods. We love the vegetarian and vegan options. Very fairly priced for the quality and quantity of food

Marigold Kitchen has become one of my favorite spots in Madison. Any place outside of a serious Mexican or Southwestern spot that claims to do both chilaquiles *and* huevos rancheros had better do it very, very well, and while not what I'd find in Santa Fe, they do an outstanding job on their interpretation of the classics. Back that up with great coffee and excellent service, and it's why I'll keep going back. Also - it's been 4 years since I've been there - long enough that many places have changed (often not for the better), and they've held the same high standards. Great job!

First, I would like to say this place looks really nice. The smells of the food was amazing. The customer service was super friendly and the pastry display made me wanna buy one of everything. I went in wanting a breakfast burrito and I had my typical breakfast burrito expectations but when I read the ingredients I noticed that they had sweet potato fries in this breakfast burrito. I'm not a fan of sweet potato fries, so I asked to substitute with regular fries. The cashier lady told me they don't do substitutions because they can't figure out the math on how to substitute certain items, so they just don't do substitutions. That was a disappointment for me because it's not that hard to swap out sweet potato fries for regular french fries, in a breakfast item, either way I ask for the breakfast burrito without sweet potato fries. I also asked about the cranberry scone, which looked amazing and she told me it was so I did. so long story short I ordered our items to go and the scone was amazing. That was the first thing I got as for the breakfast burrito I was not a fan. As you can see my images, the breakfast burrito looks super sloppy the beans sauce was dripping, which overpowered the eggs. The red peppers were nice and I'm not sure if it was nuts or the beans, but there was a crunchy item that just did not work for me. The cabbage green salad was not appetizing at all wasn't a fan of it smelled funny and I tried. It just wasn't for me. This was a very sloppy breakfast burrito and it felt lacking and I wouldn't order this again. But would I come back? Yes I would. I just won't be so adventurous with picking a breakfast dish and just pick a basic breakfast item.

One of the best brunches I’ve enjoyed in my twenty something years on this here planet earth. Get the virgin Bloody Mary if you’re like me and have a tomato Juice addiction. I’ve been making a ranking list of virgin Bloody Marys at each restaurant I go to and this sits quite solidly at number three.
