I drove up from Atlanta to work remotely here for a couple of hours prior to a meeting in the Marietta area. Here's a highlight of my experience. - The Coffee: If you are a bit of a coffee snob or enjoy cups of coffee that are higher quality than your Keurig at home, this is not the place for you. I ordered a cappuccino; however, the espresso shot was incredibly under-extracted, and the milk foam was very over-aerated. Overall, the cappuccino came out tasting like watered down black drip coffee with a dollop of really foamy milk. - The Coffeeshop Vibe/Aesthetic: If you're anything like me, you heavily determine the selection of coffeeshops that you frequent based on the atmosphere. Here, they have purposefully set up a WFH location; however, the interior design concept isn't consistent. The resulting atmosphere is bland with fluorescent quality lighting, white walls, and quotes plastered all around with the intent of inspiring. I'll admit, I am certainly biased towards the younger generation's high valuation of interior design/coffee shop aesthetics that frequent ATL Midtown coffeeshops. I may be mistaken on their target customer segment. Many of the Baby Boomer & Older Millennials that frequent the Marietta area would find it completely satisfactory. -My last qualm and what I truly intend as constructive criticism is their "No Outside Food & Drink Policy." This policy is completely logical for many coffee shops & restaurants; however, because Marietta Perks specifically markets themselves as a remote workers hub, this policy presents issues. It would also make more sense if they had a full kitchen that offers full, sustainable meals; however, similar to most coffee shops, their food menu is limited to a selection of muffins, pastries & re-heatables. -The Staff: The staff is kind and very helpful. I truly believe they mean well and purposefully employ younger college-aged workers that simply lack the knowledge/training to properly make specialty espresso. Positive Honourable Mentions: - Great, comfortable chairs. - So many outlets available for your devices. - Fast, great wifi. - Meeting rooms that you can book online. - Incredibly Clean Bathrooms - Very family-friendly atmosphere - Beautiful outdoor seating.

I frequent this coffee shop and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the collaboration rooms however, my most recent visit will surely be my last. Upon arrival, I noticed an empty collaboration room and decided to make use of it until the next reservation came in. After an hour or so, I was informed by the staff that the room had an upcoming reservation and I would need to vacate in 10 minutes. I kindly packed my things and moved to a table in the common area. A few minutes later, a member of the staff approached me and asked had I noticed a pair of AirPods that a previous customer called to ask about. I told her I had not seen any AirPods when i was in the room. This inquiry did not bother me and I appreciate the staffs willingness to assist a customer who has left or lost an item. My frustrations began when another member of the staff came over asking if I knew there was water available, but her gaze was all over my table, presumably searching for a pair of AirPods. Approximately 30 minutes later, a gentleman who identified himself as the owner, approached asking about the missing AirPods. After introducing himself, he explained that a customer called and mentioned they left AirPods in the collaboration room. I told him I had not seen AirPods, much like I told his employee. He then goes on to ask if the AirPods sitting on the table (MY AirPods) were the missing pair, after I had made it very clear that I had not come across any AirPods. His tone was very accusatory and I do not appreciate being questioned multiple times.

With a little inspirational quote on the side of my cup and a chocolate eclair, I sat to work on homework. I enjoyed that the music wasn't loud, there was ample sitting in a variety of spaces, and I could work in peace. But, honestly, let's get to the meat of the review. I had a small hazelnut latte and an eclair, neither of which were overwhelmingly sweet. I like this. Most places want to pour a pound of sugar in everything they create. That is not the case here. Here, you can still taste the earthy flavor of their organic coffee. This was the perfect setting, and cup of coffee, to help get me in work mode. Thank you, I will return.

The coffee is delicious and it is a nice spot to sit and read. They have tables, conference rooms and very comfy chairs. I enjoy drinking coffee in this cozy place. The comfy chairs are just like the one in the Monty Python skit ("No One Expects the Spanish Inquisition!). The desserts available vary from cookies to pastries. If tea is your choice, or a bit of brunch, this is the place to stop by, order, sit and enjoy. I smell bacon sometimes while reading, so breakfast is available.

The staff and atmosphere are great! I really would love to support my closest local coffee shop, but I find that the prices are not affordable, even with the Clover app incentives. I thought I'd give them another try yesterday after my medium Americano with oat milk and honey cost over $7 a couple months ago. This time, I ordered a small herbal tea with nothing in it; it cost $4.23. I assume the prices are related to the products themselves. But for me, I'm needing to head toward Marietta Square instead for my drink of choice. I'm finding there better prices for similar orders.
