The atmosphere is very warm and nice. We have tried pistachio ice cream, it was delicious
Very friendly staff & delicious ice cream! The turtle split is my favorite! Update: I was there after not visiting in years and I'm happy to say that their quality is still top notch and their service is as well. Their cheesecake ice cream is the best I've ever had, and if it was closer to me, I'd go at least once a week!
This place is the best!! Old timey ice cream shop feel, table service by the sweetest ladies, excellent ice cream with soo many options for sundaes and combinations. Perfect for a date night, night cap with friends, or to take your kids to. I hope this place stays around for 100 more years.
I really don’t understand how a place like this, a Chicago landmark has horrible customer service. Everyone is super rude. They close at 11 we got there at 1015 couldn’t dine in because they had to start cleaning. You also can’t sit in any booth while you wait for your take out order. If you’re standing there the lady is going to start sweeping around your feet while she “cleans” Also don’t ask the cashier for a straw because it really bothers her. This place is a joke. There’s better places out there. Never coming back.
Only passed by it looks nice
I really like the history of the place since it's been around since the 20s. Frozen yogurt wasn't bad, just a bit on the sweeter side. The apple pie was good though.
This little hidden gem is a must try if you ever visit Chicago or are around he area. They offer some delicious thick Chocolate syrup and caramel and they are served in style. Their ice cream is so creamy and fresh doesn't feel old or that freezer burnt taste They unfortunately don't have parking but are located near free / meter pull ins. They are open year round so it's perfect for any occasion.
