Maple Street Biscuit Company

Don't come at me, if you love this place. We decided to try Maple Street Biscuit Company for Brunch. It was our first time & probably our last. I have to say, it was VERY underwhelming. The place smelled so good when you walk in, like Maple Bacon. You can see them making Homemade Biscuits behind the counter. I ordered the "Five & Dime". My partner ordered "The Chicken Club" & we shared Fried Green Tomatoes. The Peach-Berry Lemonade was really good. My Five & Dime was meh. The Chicken was absolutely yummy. It was thick, juicy & crunchy. The Bacon was really good as well as the Sausage Gravy. My complaints are the Biscuits were thin & dry, basically like the Crust of a good Biscuit. I was thinking that a place that calls themselves a "Biscuit Company", would make thick, fluffy Biscuits. My Egg was super thin almost like paper thin & folded to make it thicker, but that didn't help. I was hoping for a thick fluffy Egg. The fried Green Tomatoes, had good flavor, but were really small. So I was definitely let down. Being pregnant, my hormones made me feel all types of disappointments.

Restaurant looked clean and the service was excellent, parking is limited but there is a free parking garage within walking distance. I thought the biscuit was kinda pricey but considering the size and quality it's understandable. I got the farmer biscuit, the chicken was crispy and seasoned well and they definitely don't skimp on the amount of apple butter; the cashier offered putting the apple butter on the side because it's cold but I didn't mind it. The sticky maple biscuit was also pretty good. What I'm most excited to return for is the maple kettle chips; they came out hot and crispy and reminded me of the chips made at the carnival with a drizzle of syrup on them! Their fresh orange juice is amazing! The iced cinnamon biscuit had a good flavor but was hard and dry. Smashbrowns were amazing from the outside but slightly undercooked on the inside. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and service and can't wait to try more from here!

Customer service was 10/10 they were bubbly and super friendly! Our food came out within a timely matter and it’s was delicious chicken was so juicy and highly recommend the sweet tea it was perfect !

When we visit San Antonio, we try to eat in lots of different places. But this was a repeat for us for breakfast three times so delicious loved every bite and the service is phenomenal.

Awesome coffee and eats ...can't go wrong!
