Based on reviews we were excited to check this place out. Being Canadian ourselves we wanted to see what this place is all about. The fact that they bake their own bread made this diner a must try. We both ordered bacon & eggs, over easy, white toast with home fries. Within 7 minutes our orders arrived. The bacon and home fries were warm at best. The homemade bread was flavourless and hard to like. It was like they used baking powder instead of yeast. The bacon was like bacon jerky. Chewy & dry. Besides a few of the home fries not being cooked enough, they were ok. This is the very first restaurant in my life that we didn’t finish the bacon and toast. To add insult to injury the menu prices listed on their website are old prices. Way more expensive now.

Came here near closing for brunch and we were seated quickly and they were happy to accomodate. Got the pizza burger (burger with Bolognese sauce and pepperoni and huge fried mozzarella cheese slab in the middle), regular poutine, and pancakes. I'd say the burger tasted great until halfway into it was a falling apart mess and overwhelming fried cheese. The poutine was an alright reminder of Canadian poutine but the cheese curds didn't squeak when you bit it, as it's supposed to. Culver's has better cheese. The pancakes were great. Big, yummy and everything you need. Overall solid brunch place with signs of Canada everywhere.

Hands down without equivocation this is the worst food I have ever had especially from a diner/breakfast restaurant. After a 2.5 hour wait ( checked in online so that was ok) we ordered classic Poutine, English style pot roast and traditional breakfast. The mashed potatoes were ice cold , the green beans and carrots mushy and overcooked/ cold. The roast beef itself was disgusting and the meat was a rainbow underneath because of how old the meat was. Everything undersalted or without salt. ( I should note that my tolerance for salt is very low and I am a non smoker so I don't like heavily salted food) Our table bench was soaking wet along with the floor underneath. I cannot believe that this is even close to the food that was raved about for being on multiple travel and cooking shows . The sausage also was cold. I can tell that most of this food is precooked sitting on the steam line in hotel pans or under a heat lamp like the French fries which were wilted and old Lastly the server handled all of our juices , waters and coffees by the lip of the cup meaning we were to drink from where his wet dirty hands had been placed. Save yourself the time and trouble and go eat at a better establishment. Restaurants are my profession and I seldomly leave a bad review .

The food was delicious here and I really enjoyed the Bloody Mary! I recommend the poutine, but it is very filling and the portions are huge, so you may want to share one order for several people as an appetizer like we did. The chicken and waffles are also 5 star here. Seriously a great experience.
