Mangos Caribbean Restaurant

The food is trash. I ordered curry chicken, rice & peas, and cabbage plate. The gave me a whole lotta rice, two very small pieces of chicken and some cabbage that looked like slop that was probably made 3 weeks ago. I also ordered a curry chicken patty. It was not heated somewhere between cold and room temp. You tell it has been sitting there for weeks. The food is disgusting there. Would not recommend.

Dont waste you're time going here. Went in and waited 10 minutes at the counter for the cashier to come and get ny order. Whole time 2 separate people walked by and said nothing. Then after receiving my order, the Baked Mac and Cheese was missing. Never going here again.

I have eaten here twice, and I am more disappointed then I was before. I'm Jamaican, this restaurant is not it though....

Called the restaurant the lady said that they don’t take call in orders you have to go online and order.No reason not to take phone orders. Then I order and found out that rice is a side order now if you buy Ox Tails. I ordered 2 Ox Tail dinners with rice, cabbage, and planting on both orders. My final total was $89.90. I paid and got home and the food amount that I received was not worth $89. I can understand how people have raised the hell out of prices but giving you less food. Damn cabbage and rice doesn’t cost anything hardly but they beat you on that also. It wasn’t 4 spoons of cabbage on those $44.50 plates and the very tip of the OX Tails skinny bones was what I received. I have bought Ox Tail from Mangos off and on for 12 years when the plates were $13 for a small and $18 for a large Ox Tail order and they filled your plate and you got your money worth. Today it’s $40 and the tails are cut thinner and you get nothing what you pay for. I live in Columbus Ga and visit the place quite a few times whenI’m in Atlanta. But the bottom line is that was the last time I’ll go to Mangos and I’ll say that the food has been great but the portion sizes has ran me to stay home and eat something much cheaper and cook my own Ox Tails. So ADIOS MANGOS!

Mangos is only staying open because of college kids and location food is horrible ! Been in Atlanta for 7 Years and this was my go to spot for nice piece of hot fried fish late night! I spent $60 yesterday just to get home to two burnt piece of fish! Feel off bad smh no quality when close to retirement and just making money! Smh

Irritated and highly disappointed… drove all the way here after calling multiple times only for someone to tell me they’re closed because the “person that runs the register isn’t here” so you’re telling me that nobody in the establishment knows how to operate a cash register in 2024!?! They could’ve answered the phone to tell me that. So the food just back they’re ready, but you can’t sell it because no one knows how to take payments on an updated register???? I’m irritated!!! ATLANTA service at its finest. It’s 12:08, they “opened” at 11am. Don’t waste your time here.

This reminds me of the "hole in the wall restaurants" in Brooklyn, where I'm from. You go for the food, not the decor. I had the Curry Rasta Pasta and my wife had the Kingfish, with rice and peas. The food was full of flavor, and you can tell it's fresh. It took almost an hour for our food, but this was Date Night, and I have no problem waiting for good food. Mangos, WELL DONE!
