Maneki Restaurant

Very cool experience at Maneki. Enjoyed that they had more traditional Japanese beers. The food was all good and definitely the most adventurous Japanese menu I’ve seen in Seattle. Great place to try if you are tired of the same menu you can find at 20 other Japanese restaurants.

Food is disgusting

Great place - exceeded my expectations. Only problem was that the waiter had a runny nose, we saw him wipe and nose and go about setting up our table. He touched our utensils and napkin with that hand. Hopefully this is not the norm.

Made a reservation for 6 via text. Good communication. Service was wonderful. Food was great. Must have Black Cod Collar Miso.

Back open now after a few months of closure for repairs. Consistently excellent izakaya type food and sushi. One of the few Japanese places that is excellent for both sushi and non-Sushi (wife doesn't eat sushi). Have to make reservations via text. A seattle staple that has been around since the early 1900s. If you can go with 6+ people try to sit in the tatami room.

Delicious food, great service, and we loved the rooms!

I had not gone here for many years. This is a 100-year old sushi place that as gotten pretty pricey. A few tips: arrive just before opening st 5 00 PM and make reservations via text' you cannot reserve on the phone or Open Table. The proprietress is outright grouchy but her servers were fine. I had unagi don while my wife had the salmon dinner. Portions were not overly large or generous. Big menu so lots of choices. There are sushi places less expensive with more friendly parking availability. Parking: inadequate

Great place to go with traditional Japanese food, the decoration inside is amazing and service is great. Reservations are necessary as they are often full Vegetarian options: To know about vegetarian options I've had to ask the waitress, she had no problem telling me and she knew all their dishes, from our conversation we realized vegetarians should only order vegetarian rolls becayse almost all cooked dishes have fish sauce. It's traditional Japanese, so it's expected and I was happy that the waitress had the knowledge to help me.
