Hidden gem Super good atmosphere
Great little whole in the wall
My go to when I want an actual bar in Culver Arts. The walk there is a little dark and sketchy, and parking is hit or miss, but once you're there it's a cozy, cool-kids, in-the-know kinda place with high-end dive bar vibes. Happy hour until 8pm!
One of the only places in LA you can still get a beer for $5. Great little dive bar.
I like that this place is not terribly expensive and has its own list of fairly interesting cocktails but almost everything on their cocktail list has lemon and every drink I had with lemon here had way too much lemon. I suppose if you love extremely sour drinks this is a good thing but for me this made it difficult to get through more than one cocktail without a stomach ache. Also, with that much lemon, their potentially great drinks just tasted like lemon juice instead of the other delicious or interesting ingredients they contained. The atmosphere of this place was not bad, there's sort of a moody forest theme. They have a nice patio area in thr back but the patio closes at 11pm. Service was not bad, when I went on a less busy night they struck up a polite conversation with me. When I went on a moderately busy night they got my drinks quickly but charged my group to my tab when we asked to each be charged on our own tab.
Fun neighborhood bar. It’s been around forever but I only just started frequenting it. Great spot for group events or hangs. Very cool style, without trying hard. Not overly designed like new restaurants these days, it’s indie and we like it that way. Bar serves amazing cocktails (their Last Word is my favorite cocktail in LA), and they have some fun specials. Back covered patio with some tables. They had a DJ when we went on the weekend.
