Manchu Wok

Annoyed and disappointed. Made an online order and arrived about 15 minutes before the pick-up time. No big deal, I just sat and waited. While I waited I witnessed about 8 walk-in orders being taken and finished. Alas my pick-up time has come and passed. Another 3 walk-ins ordered and got their food before I did. Only 10 minutes passed my pick-up time did I receive my order. I’m just annoyed that walk-in orders take priority over online orders. I understand I showed up early but you’d think I would at least get my order at the pick-up that they gave. Fast forward. Took my food home and ate it. Portion size is OK. Flavour isn’t there at all. How can something be fried in a wok and not have a “wok hay” taste? The “fried rice” isn’t even fried rice. It’s soggy rice with pea and carrot bits with enough soy sauce to change the colour of the rice. Will I return? Absolutely not. Parking: There’s speed bumps

The website was not working. It was my first time trying to place an order at this restaurant on this website and was supposed to receive a 25% discount. The purchase would not go through due to the website failure. We called and asked them to honour the discount as their website was not functioning. They would not. I ended up getting the food anyways definitely not as good as when they were at their old location. The chicken is very old and the beef and broccoli is super sour and salty. Hard to eat as well as a beef being super chewy and hard to buy through. I definitely won’t be revisiting if this isn’t properly corrected.

Tried to order online and did not work. Just kept “processing” so I could not place the order. Since the online Service wasn’t working. I called the store to place my order and asked for the 25% off since this was my first order and that is what they offer online. I was told that I couldn’t get the discount but it would be there next time. I guess I lost out because not only did I not get the discount but I got an absolutely terrible, inedible meal. The texture of the beef was awful, grisly and slimes, deep fried food was dry. Noodles were barely edible. Save your money. Will not be returning .

Worst food I have ever eaten, could not eat actually

We had ordered food from here through Uber. While eating i got a metal piece that was in the noodles. I am very disappointed with this. It could have hurt me and could have been fatal. But thankfully it didn’t hurt me and I spit it out safely. Everyone pay attention and be careful when you eat!

So glad to have ManchuWok back in Guelph! The food is so fresh and delicious, with so many different options. Whether you are gluten free, vegetarian, or none of the above there is surely something for you to enjoy. Vegetarian options: They are happy to swap out meat for veggies in most of their wok fired options. Dietary restrictions: They are peanut free and can work with any allergy.

We ordered in person and got take out. I’ve went here and other locations before and never had an issue, but this time I did. We got our food, walked home, and ate our food and it had a really weird taste to it. Almost sour, old, or soapy. It left a rather unpleasant taste in our mouth and it was hard to continue eating. It might have been just that day, but almost every breaded item we got tasted off. The noodles and beef were good though, just the breaded items for some reason tasted really really off. Such a disappointment when you made your way all the way there just for the food to be bad.

Food poisoning, for me and wife, an hour after consuming. First time trying this location in Guelph. As previously have eaten at other Manchu Woks, the food is good. Not this location again after this experence of being this ill.

Great place and great prices for the portion sizes!

Salty, overpriced and very small portion. Half of meat side pieces were pure breaded and no meat. Complete rip off. Do not recommend. Better local Asian cuisines to try..
