I've been coming here for many years and I don't understand why the level of cleanliness and organization only gets worse. Bringing a family for a sit down meal when they aren't many restaurants that offer this cuisine is a nightmare. When was the last time the bathrooms or the dining area received a face-lift or a thorough cleaning?? The tables are falling apart and I dont have the words to describe the bathroom state. Super disappointed.
I went to this restaurant twice and the tea with mint is excellent The desserts are excellent I had the baklava I had kadayif, The service was excellent everyone was so friendly I will definitely be coming more frequently
This is the worst ever experience I ever had. First of all, this place is dirty and you have to go pick up your food from the counter yourself. We were really excited about Kunafa, but when we saw Kunafa, it was served as in two different geometrical shape, one was rhomboid shaped and another was crescent shaped, I have never seen Kunafa like this in my whole life. The bread was so thick and hard, and below it was some cheese. When I took a bite of it, it tasted salty instead of sugary, and there was no vermicelli over it. I went to the lady to ask for refund and she told me she is unable to give refund, this was so upsetting. Then they brought the manager who said he himself does not like this kunafa. What kinda restaurant is this? He said I can not refund you but will get you “FREE Baklava”, which was also not fresh and was dry. We left the place with a disappointment and never coming back to this place.
Don’t try their kunafa. It’s the worst!
The lamb burger, hummus, and turkish coffee were so delicious. The mint lemonade was super sweet but refreshing. Service was fast and friendly.
As someone who grew up somewhere that did not have any middle Eastern food options, Manakeesh is an absolute treat. The food at this restaurant/cafe is my go to personal celebration and also a great low-key breakfast/brunch option for when I need a little treat on the weekend. The curry chicken is so unbelievably worth it for the flavor, sides, and bonus fresh oven warmed pita. For something lighter I chose a falafel option or the deliciously spiced lentil soup, as neither ever let me down. And in my opinion, the absolute best order here is the pistachio rose milkshake (if you like rose flavored desserts). It isn't too sweet and both pistachio and rose flavors come through for my favorite dessert in all of Philadelphia.
I ordered food to be delivered from here and this place give me all of my food. Horrible and no one answers the phone
