Good hole-in-the-wall falafel place. Simple, no frills, good food. Macdougal street is really cool, a few other nice spots for cheap food......used to be look better before they added the outdoor tents, they really break up the vibe. Maybe if they disappear once the weather improves. Falafel was solid, but a little too messy and the hummus was a bit too runny. Overall: 3.5/5
Me and my parents drove an hour to have these sandwiches … all my dad did was talk about it and reminisce… telling me how amazing this place is.. we get there and we forgot our wallet. The man taking the order had ZERO empathy. I’m also Arab btw… I begged him if we could zelle … told him my dad is an old man please it’s Eid.. still said no. Not a care in the world .. this just reminds me why the the Arabs are divided … they are worse than the zionists … and this is why Palestine will never be free. My poor parents … they just lost their son… and it just angers me how much people lack emotional intelligence… He did not care at all. So so mean… I will never give him my business ever again. The lack of empathy literally broke my heart .. ..
If you want great falafel at a reasonable price, Mamoun's is it. Their falafel has been a staple of the West Village for decades. They also have other food, but the falafel is so good, we can never pass it up. Very limited seating, so be prepared to eat on the go.
Wonderful beef shawerma and very tasty falafel. We will stop in every time we are in NYC! ❤️
