I've been supporting this place daily for the past 4 years. Today I bought a coffee and with the last sip I felt something whole in my mouth. It was a roach. I took a photo and went back to Mambos later. I told the lady that they need to be careful as I found a bug in my coffee and showed her the picture. She said that I was lying. I went to one of the servers and requested to speak to a manager. I waited for 10 minutes when I was told the manager is busy on his computer. I just walked away.
Beware!!! I was totally scammed at this small bar overlooking the water. I noticed a huge fishbowl margarita type drink with a sign attached to it for $19.95 on the bar counter. I told the bartender that I did not want a drink that big because it was too much to drink and I wanted something smaller, she pointed to a greenTumblr size drink and asked me if this size was OK and I said yes. She said do you want it blended or do you want it on ice, I said on ice. I asked her for the bill and I was shocked that it was $30. I have traveled extensively all over the world to 5 star destinations and still do, St Barths, Monaco, St. Tropez, Courchevel, Mykonos, Gstaad, St. Moritz and Mustique. Never ever have I paid more than $20 dollars for an alcoholic beverage at any of these exclusive destinations.
The food here has gone way downhill. We ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich with fries. The fish was so thin, almost non-existent. A fish sandwich at McDonald's would have been better. The fries are also reminiscent of McDonald's. We'd eaten here before, and it was much better. Won't be going back. The service was just "ok". They did the bare minimum to get by. We love the outdoor patio, with views of the water and boats, but if you are eating a meal go elsewhere!
