I grew up eating from here. Still pretty good food.
Tres golpes for breakfast mangu fried cheese and eggs
This is a good restaurant but it’s not amazing food or a particularly good deal
Tried the Cuban sandwich. I have to say I've had better! Great staff.
Im downgrading this restaurant because they decided it's OK to reduce food portion and increase price at the same time. For $35.00, I would get 2 lobster tails cut in half with as side dish. Now the price is $41.25 for 1 and 1/2 lobster tail with side dish.
The best tres leches cake I've ever had. And if you're a chicken person, that rotisserie is delicious. Everything is cooked spot on. Beans are hot. Rice is abundant. Not cheap on the side salad. Vegetarian options: Enough vegetarian options that you'll definitely find something to eat. Dietary restrictions: Tons of variety, so you'll find something that fits your needs. Parking: Parking is minimal. I would take the train. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed. I've seen kids there. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on the same level. The doors are heavy but there are people coming in and out all the time.
What can I say, the best roasted chicken in Washington heights. Full of flavor, especially when eaten with white rice and the BLACK BEANS. Iam dominican and I haven't had black beans like that anywhere else or in my lifetime. Everytime I'm in the neighborhood I have to stop by here and eat. Also try the monfongo, it's full of flavor.
