We ate chicken biriyani and malabar parotta from here. They taste exactly same as what you may find in back home. My only concern is the limited seating capacity and dull ambience of the restaurant. All good, otherwise. I would recommend this restaurant if you are a great fan of authentic Kerala cuisine. This is the best Kerala restaurant in bay area.
I tried parotta and egg curry. Both were delicious. I have been here few times and food is always delicious. They recently updated and ambiance is now better for dine in experience.
I love Keralite cuisine and this place satisfies my appetite the best. Their parotta, kappa and curries make me return there every time I pass by. At the time of this review, they had renovated and improved the ambience. Btw, you won’t find most of their food variety in Indian restaurants nearby, making this place a treat for your wandering tastebuds.
An amazing new place for Malabari cuisine from India’s southern state of Kerala. Quick and friendly service. We had the beef fry, appam, porotta and chicken curry. Every dish was well cooked, well spiced and fresh. The appams were soft and fluffy with that slight tang. The porottas were crispy and flaky. The chicken curry was the true winner. The beef fry was delicious too but we were a little underwhelmed by the spice. Maybe we were expecting more spice. The place was clean and they had malayali songs playing in the background which added a nice authentic touch. My only peeve was that the cost of the appam and paratta was slightly more for the quantity. They should have given two for the price they were charging for one. Also, rice should have been served with the curry as is practice in most desi restaurants. Nevertheless I’m excited to go back and try more of their items.
Just had their beef fry that I took out from this place. Well, it’s more of a cumins fry.. They’ve sprinkled cumins all over the beef and this makes it taste so horrible. Was a good place from my experience in the past, but now the food is below average. No wonder there was no one there either to dine in or pick up when I went there about 9.30pm.
Very very nice place going to her family and friends
Dropped by during a weekend and the place was completely empty which was surprising for the area. Mostly it appears to be a preferred Take out as the dining experience is basic and not any preferred service. Food quality was above average while the service was good. This place seem to limited to varieties of their own and not for all - there is nothing beyond parotta -- no roti or healthier options to choose... Take out might be ok if you are missing authentic Kerala dishes
