One of the best sushi restaurants in Miami. Try the toro. Hot stone wagyu too. You won’t regret it!
Everything from the moment we entered into the restaurant to the time we left it’s was amazing, food, service, drinks absolutely delicious!
Delicious. Depending on appetite, you’ll likely need to order more than one main dish, or several appetizers and an entree - small portions. The sushi seemed very fresh - the tuna was in the ocean earlier in the day.
Such a lovely experience, short ribs sea bass were my favorites. Spicy tuna crispy rice A+
Don’t know what the big deal is it’s basically mid sushi at a higher price point. I got the sushi/sashimi omakase for $60 during lunch. Whoever is preparing the sushi was clearly not trained to do it well because all of my pieces were smothered with wasabi. That’s not what you do in a more traditional Japanese restaurant when serving sushi. If the fish is sufficiently fresh then there’s no need to add it, this definitely masked the taste and led me to believe it wasn’t fresh. Also as a side note, where are the chopstick holders? Sorry, just felt a lil off with the lack of attention to detail.
It’s always a great dining experience at Makoto. The interior is designed beautifully. They have awesome cocktails, and beer & wine selections. Sushi and appetizers are solid.
Makoto offers a delightful respite from shopping fatigue in Bal Harbour. With quick and attentive service, it's perfect for refueling. Their cocktails are crafted to perfection, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. The crispy rice tuna makes for a tantalizing start, while the fire & ice oysters provide a unique twist, although the ice might not suit everyone's palate. The wagyu robata impresses with its juicy succulence, and the spicy scallop temaki adds a delicious kick to the meal.
Came here with my sister for lunch. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they satisfy quickly we sat outside on the porch and the music was perfect. It wasn’t too loud. It was busy, but because we were outside it was also not too loud with everyone speaking. The service was overall good although they did get one item on our order mixed up. I recommend the Mezcal drink I forgot the name. We had an amazing scallop Crudo that was probably my favorite item alongside the lamb and the sauce that the lamb came with. We also had the spicy tuna, crispy rice, as well as a yellow tail roll and grilled avocado. The grilled avocado is amazing and I’ve had it several times here.even though they did mess up one item, they immediately corrected it. I would definitely come here again and again.
