Excellent Ethiopian food. Everything is halal, I confirmed with them over email. This is a ghost kitchen - no storefront, you order online and pickup from outside their kitchen. I think they also have a truck, use their website to find out their hours for the truck. Their misir was a little too spicy for me, but the shiro was phenomenal. The beef tibs and siga wot were delicious. They serve in a nice large round paper box which makes it quite easy to eat in the car or at home. Hard to find halal Ethiopian food, so I’m surprised I hadn’t heard about them before. They need to advertise they are halal more. Will definitely be returning. Don’t sleep on this one! Dietary restrictions: Halal meat confirmed over email
dinq megeb! Great food. Way to showcase our food in a different setting without compromising flavor. Bertu bertu!
My wife loves the food and the customer service is always great. Only wish the pick up area for the food would be updated.
you shouldn’t make the truck available for take out if you’re closed
First time trying so have nothing to compare it to. The chicken leg stew was very unique- delicious and hearty. I liked the cabbage and the chickpea dish as well but mixed together with the chicken. On their own they were sort of bland. Happy I got to try something new and a cuisine from a different culture.
My girlfriend who is habesha showed me makina story on YouTube and I thought the whole thing was great. When I came to n.y I told my gf I will stop by her food truck to say hi and support the business. It was nothing like what was presented on YouTube. There's no food truck and it's a virtual kitchen where you scan qr code and order. I was kinda lost because I didn't see anyone. Long story short I made my order and tried Tibs for the 1st time. From my experience the food was flavorful I read others comments saying the food was bad maybe I don't know any better but I'd definitely come back I only have them 4 stars because I didn't get to meet makina ( sorry if that's not her name not sure) and the food truck thing was just for YouTube had to update my review to five stars because this Makina never disappoints I think to be honest they have the best Ethiopian foods in New York and I've been to many places for now they are the winning champion
Delicious food, consistent flavors, good value! Dietary restrictions: All vegetarian options are vegan!
Picked up food from a hole in the wall but was amazed at the portion size and how great the food was. We will most definitely order again
