Another place which got worse food quality wise as they got larger. All the protein in our ramen was frozen and, noodles had no springiness or bite, they felt more like overcooked pasta. Takoyaki still had frozen octopus bits inside. Their cocktails looked fancy but they were just coloured sugar syrups. Gyoza was very mid and didn't even bother to fry up properly to crispy golden. The only saving grace was the karaage chicken with spicy teriyaki sauce. They moved to a new larger place, The atmosphere is alright, but it's already broken down, our table kept rocking forwards and backwards as we took bites. Also they added these cheesy gimmicks like hitting the gong all the time when a new customer arrives and all the staff shouts. Let them just work, they were very helpful and welcoming already, don't make them shout every time which felt a bit weird. And lastly prices, it's high and getting higher which is understandable with cost also rising everywhere else but I just wish they kept their quality rising too. Right now there are better places in walking distance where you can get better ramen. However I will definitely give it last shot because I used to like this place a lot, had fond memories in the old building across the street, maybe this time was an anomaly, but it was definitely a heartbreak.
The chicken ramen was okay, chicken was rather tough. As for the service, we had a waitress who left us 30mins after eating our meal before WE had to get someone to give us the bill. We paid and then our waitress had the sheer audacity to ask us to pay even though we already had!! People should also me made more aware of the discretionary service charge £2.50 mandatory tip on only two bowls of ramen is outrageous!! Especially when the waitress was flailing about!! Will not be back again
Food was good and definitely satisfied the craving, but could’ve had slightly more flavour (dragon rolls and chicken yakisoba). Food came quickly and staff were lovely and attentive.
Very tasty, good portions and good atmosphere
Just wowww. You cannot miss this place!
