Maison Virunthu

Good portions but not much flavour. Had the mutton curry and the mutton cottu roti which are usually my favourite South Asian dishes but were just underwhelming.

It has become my favourite place for beef kottu rutti. But the last 2 times they have been really cheap in the beef. On the plate, there were 3 or 4 cubes of beef might be the last time I ordered from them.

If you love spicy food, then maison virunthu should be on your radar. They are a fairly new Sri lankan Tamil restaurant. I started off my evening with some samosas, which were nice and thick. The samosas were mildly spiced and crispy on the outside just how they shoud be. For my main dish, i ordered a vegetarian kottu roti (diced roti with fried onions, thai peppers, mixed vegetables and a spicy gravy). The kottu flavors was simply amazing, but it did have a little more gravy than I would have liked. However the owner was very nice and receptive. Overall I had a great experience, and i know they are still building their menu and I hope they add more vegetarian dishes to the menu especially with soya meat. If you love crispy snacks, then make sure to grab cassava chips, mixer, flat vadai, or all of the above. Vegetarian options: Vegan options: samosas, kottu roti, spring hoppers, cassava chips, flat vadai, mixer, etc.

Tasty food and reasonable prices.

I tried almost everything in this retaurent. The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. The service was wonderful. I highly recommend !

Food is really delicious and service is also best of this restaurant. I ordered masala vada and chicken wings.. tht was really awsm❤️❤️
