Mainstream Bar & Grill West

Great new restaurant/bar for Carlsbad. Wife super picky about her Eggs Benedict and she loved theirs, yeah. My French toast and bacon hit the spot. Can't wait to go back for lunch. Will be excellent place for watching March Madness and having a brew. Eric our server was super nice and very accommodating. Will definitely be back and bringing friends.

Awesome new restaurant! Mainstream Bar & Grill We just had an amazing breakfast at Mainstream Bar & Grill on Paseo Del Norte just south of Palomar Airport Drive. They just opened about a month ago. We were on our way to Tip Top, which was busy as usual, so decided to try something new. Both of us had exceptional breakfasts, meatloaf & eggs + omelet. Their biscuits are made fresh on site and delicious, fruit was fresh and plentiful, staff were kind and attentive. The food was very fresh and much better than typical diner food. We loved our experience and will be back

Eek! Rated 5 stars but unfortunately does not foot the bill. If you're looking for a good breakfast, this is not the place. I do think the eggs were bagged, coffee not very good and service was not there - although the gal who served us was nice. Was regretful we spent any money here. They're not too busy in the morning for a reason.... perhaps their lunch and bar food is different.

New spot close by! This area needed a relaxed neighborhood bar. Great draft beer selection and big menu. We didn't eat, just drinks. Happy they can make my margarita with lime and agave upon request without me feeling spoiled. Just wish they had the big kosher salt and not tiny salt. Plenty of TV's in the bar and I can come back and watch my LA kings game here. Dog friendly patio that my gf is excited about. Can't wait for a welcoming and competitive happy hour menu so we can come back several times a week for drinks and bites. Kacey and Sunnie behind the bar were more than friendly. Hope this place becomes a hit and stays! PS, they have the big ice cubes for my old fashioned cocktails! Let's get some game time specials going so my crew and I can have a new place for the games! Amazing hidden gem, surprised it wasn’t busier than it was! Service was amazing. We had a server named Molly and she was absolutely fantastic. The food was cooked to perfection. Love the BOGO appetizers, I got the sliders and mozzarella sticks- 10 out of 10. Perfect place to watch the game especially with baseball season coming up and they have an amazing fire pit outside as well as patio seating. Over all experience was 100/10!
