this is easily the best halal cart in astoria, maybe in all of queens, maybe even in all of NYC. literally all of it is perfect. especially the eggplant. the meat is always so tender and soft and has good char and is spiced so well, the fries soak in all the sauces perfectly without getting soggy, the eggplant is always tender and offers a subtle sweetness that balances out the spice very well. its in a perfect location being right next to the subway and the smell is so good when you come home after a long day at school/work. the eggplant is also amazing. the people that work here are so kind and efficient and its incredible watching how hard they work. have i mentioned how much i love the eggplant? i would literally die for mahmoud. and the eggplant Dietary restrictions: Halal

Most of the gyro carts are nasty, unhygienic and awful. However, Mahoud’s Corner Halal Food Cart is exceptional. Their food is very delicious with variety options. We came here twice, each times we ordered chicken, lamb or mixed gyro. Whatever your preference is you will enjoy every bite. Their gyro is very flavorful, not too overwhelming or not too bland, just right. They also provide hot sauce/white sauce if you want to add more spice. I would highly recommend this halal gyro over almost any others in queens.
