One of the highlights of my trip. Food is good - A’U Crudo was my fav. We had Off the Hook and Fish and Chips. The banana pudding was amazing. The live music and atmosphere was great. Local musician @kaleikaumakamusic and her husband were amazing!! Made our night. We went on a Monday night. Service was okay but the experience varied depending on who was helping us. USD 147 after tip for party of 4 who weren’t very hungry and didn’t have drinks.

We are locals that come to town about once a month and Mahina & Suns has been on our list forever. So glad we finally made it happen because it met and surpassed expectations! Probably because first: Ian the bartender was so passionate about his job and cocktails that it was infectious and 2) the cocktail Menu was so unique. We literally made our way down the cocktail menu and hit maybe 2/3 of the menu. But the highlight: the Martini Royale was something I’ve never seen before. The presentation of packing the vodka on ice and instead of olives, it’s an “olive caviar.” It was an experience to remember. I can’t wait to come back and actually eat here. But if the food is anything like the cocktails I have no doubt it will be outstanding…. Thanks again Ian for a great experience!

Loved the martini they gave here, very unique, smooth, never even heard of the vodka they use. The mezcal was also enjoyed, smoke with gravel notes. Will come back.

Atmosphere is great but food is just ok

Very expensive but very good. The waitress was super nice and the atmosphere was very modern. The food was high quality. The Hand Cut pasta was the best thing ever, it was complex and unique. Truly an exquisite dish.

This place is a true hidden gem! Perfect for happy hour or dinner, it offers fantastic prices and a speakeasy menu if you choose to sit at the bar. The food is absolutely incredible, and even the non-alcoholic cocktails are a delightful surprise, far from just your average lemonade. I can't recommend this spot highly enough!

Great eatery inside the Surfside hotel. We sat with a view of the pool. Food was delicious. Unfortunately the kitchen would not allow customizations.

We have been here before and the experience was very good; this time not so much. We would rate our overall experience a 4 out of 10. We were hungry so the rating may even be higher than deserved. We had shrimp for appetizer (overcooked) as well as oysters on the half shell (watery, salty, fishy). We also had the marlin as an appetizer- I had one piece and could not eat the rest. Next was margherita pizza- unremarkable with a light spread of tomato sauce and a few blobs of unmelted cheese. Service was very poor- in fact the server asked what we wanted for desert and we were still waiting on our entrees. The upsides- it is a very pretty setting and the music was good. Bottom line- Don’t go here- there are many superior places for your money and time. The Johnsons

Great food and chill, poolside vibe. Nice change from the chains and corporate-feeling places in much of Waikiki
