Showed up on a Thursday night at 8:30 and was turned away because the kitchen had closed. So much for being open until 10.

One of the best restaurants in Columbia! The atmosphere, ambience, cuisine, and service are unparalleled to any other in the area!

This used to b a five star review. Until tonight I would have told you Madrigal was easily one of my top five restaurants in Columbia. We've been probably a half dozen times in the last year, and it was always an amazing experience with terrific food, including probably the best pizza I've ever had. Until tonight. Tonight they burnt the pizza I ordered. There was no not-black crust, top, bottom, anywhere. It was tough to eat it was so overcooked. When I told them, they took it back, then came back and the owner/manager woman told me it wasn't burnt and that I should go to Pizza Hut instead. Then the waiter brought our check, which had been voided out entirely. I asked him what her problem was, and he told me I was not welcome there, that I made problems, and that if I didn't immediately leave we would be trespassed. I've never sent back food there before, and honestly I'm not the type to send food back unless it's really, really bad. I actually apologized to them when I told them it was burnt, which I now really regret. I've never been treated so rudely in any restaurant, ever. Dietary restrictions: Any of the pizzas can be made on a really good gluten-free crust. Just don't complain if they burn it.

Delicious meat pizza topped with prosciutto, steak and pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. Both the ube cheesecake and bluetea & lavender cheesecake were excellent and beautifully plated. I also like the fact that they open for early dinner at 4pm. Service was good overall. Vegetarian options: Salads

Omg, fantastic doesn't begin to describe this food. They definitely don't skrimp on the prosciutto, great value for the money. We will be back.

From the moment you walk in the atmosphere takes you away. Beautiful low lighting and the music selection is superb. A perfect date night location. We initially decided to try Madrigal for the wine selections, which were wonderful, but the food and service will bring us back again and again. The chef even came out before we left to see if we enjoyed everything. We started with the Caprese salad and a bottle of the Nebbiolo. For our mains we ordered the Prosciutto Arugula pizza and Gratin de Poulet. The pizza would have been enough for two but we wanted extra to take home. Saved room for dessert of course the lovely waiter suggested the Basque pistachio cheesecake which was wonderful. Loved everything about this hidden gem of a restaurant!!!

We went thinking it was a wine bar. It looks more like a sit down restaurant. We only had wine and appetizers, all was good. Service was solid. Location and atmosphere are unique in Columbia. Parking: There may be some free parking in the alley. On street parking by old law school is limited.

Hands down the best restaurant in Columbia! My brother and I both had our graduation celebration dinners here, and everything about this restaurant is top notch. The staff are incredibly nice each time we come, and the food is just outstanding! Everything on the menu tastes amazing and the presentation is always beautiful. The Al Pesto pizza, tiramisu, and blueberry dessert are definitely my favorites. Truly a hidden gem in downtown Columbia!!

Great service and atmosphere. Pizza was next level greasy, maybe an off night. Chicken dish was lacking flavor. The olive oil and balsamic starter was fantastic. Disappointed based off the reviews.
