Very slow service, didn’t care about the extra items we order. Avoid ordering North Indian items, avoid Thali. It is very bad. Idli and dosas are good.
Quality of food has deteriorated. Being South Indian restaurant they cannot cook decent Sambhar and Chutneys. Do not know how to cook Paneer Curries. Stay away.
Excellent all vegetarian restaurant! This place also has lots of vegan and gluten free options. Will definitely be coming back! Also this restaurant's atmosphere is peaceful with music playing. There are no obnoxious distracting TV's on the wall! Much easier to converse with the people you are eating with. Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu is vegetarian. Excellent vegetarian Indian food!
Had frozen vada. Very disappointed.
Amazing staff!! Always smiling!! And amazing food!! I owned indian restaurant and i know thr struggel to maintain the quality of food on daily besis! But kudos to the head chef and the tawa guy to maintain the quality!!! I have become a loyal fan eventually to this place❤️❤️
Service has definitely gone down since this location opened. Food is better at the Decatur location.
One of the only authentic vegetarian Indian restaurants in the Atlanta area. You cannot go wrong on any of the dishes*. The tomato soup is a must have. The onion and spinach, pakora and Bombay Bhel appetizers are extraordinary. Any Dosai is a winner. The House Special Thali is a great way to experience the unique Indian cuisine. *One recent phenomenon is that the food is so much spicier (hot) that recent years. Unfortunately the servers and staff are unapologetic about the increased spiciness. We have a pretty high spicy threshold and Madras has exceeded it. We still eat there because we love it but have limited our orders to the mildest menu items we can find. Recommended with a caution. Kid-friendliness: Children
Good veg options. Service is bit slower. I ordered a Masala Dosa - it should be soft but what I got was bit hard (it's not crispness I am writing here). Sambar was ok. Chutney was very good. Their Kanchipuram Idly is just Rava Idly. It was no way near the Iconic Kanchipuram one The chat item I ordered was not mixed well. Finally I ordered coffee - which was really good. They seem to offer lunch buffet, I went for dinner, so I am not sure about that. The place smells a bit old, good for typical Indian restaurants.
